Get the brain wired up once. Pick which Claude to open, plug in your first connector, and write the one file that makes every recipe in this cookbook ship on-brand. Setup is a 30-minute job, not a project.
Most people overthink this part. You do not need to code, you do not need to understand the protocol, and you do not need to connect everything on day one. Three things get you running: the right Claude open, one connector plugged in, and a brand voice file. Add the rest as recipes demand it.
This page is the foundation the whole hub stands on. Build it first.
Everything downstream runs on a single pattern.
Claude (the brain) plus a connector (the hands) equals an outcome that used to need a team.
A connector is one of two things: an MCP server, or a CLI.
MCP is the part worth understanding for ten seconds. Think of it as USB-C for AI: one standard plug that lets Claude read data and take actions inside a tool, instead of you copy-pasting between tabs. You give Claude the plug for Shopify, or Meta, or Notion, and it reaches into that tool directly.
A CLI is the other kind of hands: a command-line tool Claude drives for you. Meta's Ads CLI is the one most operators meet first.
That is the whole mental model. You are not learning AI. You are learning which plug goes where and what to type.
Three surfaces. They share configuration and skills, so moving between them is seamless. Start at the top and graduate down only when a recipe demands it.
| Surface | Open it for | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Desktop | Chat-driven work: survey analysis, finances, reporting, copy. Connectors install from a marketplace in a couple of clicks. | Start here if you are new. This handles most of the hub. |
| Claude Code | Local execution and the vibe-coded recipes: static-ad generators, custom dashboards, the A/B launch flow. Stronger on long reasoning, file handling, and code quality. | Graduate here the week you want to run a multi-step recipe. |
| Codex | Several long-running agents working in parallel. | When one agent at a time is the bottleneck. |
Set up Desktop today. Add Code the week you want to run the static-ad generator or the A/B launch flow. Do not start in Code because someone told you it is more powerful. Start in Desktop because it gets you to a first result faster, and the config you build there carries over.
